About Tecniqast

Tecniqast is a training-footage platform that records jiu-jitsu classes on an academy’s cameras so students can review their own rolls in an app, and academies earn a new monthly revenue stream.

What Tecniqast does

Class recording on a schedule the academy sets

Cameras record only during the classes the academy chooses. Nobody at Tecniqast views footage unless the academy asks for help with a recording.

The Tecniqast app

Find your rounds, zoom in, pause, and clip the moment you want to show your coach.

Works with existing security cameras

Most academies already have them. Where they don’t, Tecniqast installs high-resolution cameras.

What makes it different

  • It pays the academy instead of costing it.
  • No tripods on the mat.
  • It records only on the academy’s schedule.
  • It was built by someone who trains.

Who uses it

  • White belts who want to see why they’re stuck.
  • Competing blue and purple belts refining technique before events.
  • Black belts who are still learning.
  • Academy owners focused on retention and private lessons.

The team

Jeff Halevy, founder. Jeff built and sold three companies in wellness and AI, and trains at Athlas Training Team. The idea came after a coach offered to go through security-camera footage with him after class.

How it works

  1. The academy sets the recording schedule.
